SciXchange is a discovery and connection platform that facilitates the sharing and exchange of scientific research materials among verified researchers and institutions. The Platform serves as an intermediary to connect providers and requesters of research materials.
3.1 Institutional Compliance: Users are solely responsible for ensuring all material sharing activities comply with their institution's policies, including but not limited to Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), export controls, and biosafety requirements.
3.2 Accurate Information: Users must provide accurate and complete information when listing materials or making requests. Misrepresentation of materials or credentials is prohibited.
3.3 Legal Compliance: Users must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations regarding the sharing, transfer, and use of research materials.
3.4 Professional Conduct: Users must maintain professional and respectful communication and conduct on the Platform.
IMPORTANT: SciXchange is a discovery and connection platform only. All legal and compliance responsibilities, including the execution of MTAs and material transfers, remain strictly between the providing and receiving parties and their respective institutions.
SciXchange does not participate in, facilitate, or take responsibility for the actual transfer of materials, payment processing, quality assurance, or legal compliance beyond providing the platform for initial discovery and connection.
Users retain all rights to their research materials and data. By listing materials on the Platform, users grant SciXchange a limited license to display and promote these listings for the purpose of facilitating connections between researchers.
SciXchange shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform or any material transfers facilitated through the Platform. Users engage in material sharing at their own risk and responsibility.
SciXchange reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts for violations of these terms, misuse of the Platform, or any conduct that may harm the scientific community or the Platform's reputation.
SciXchange reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
