SciXchange is currently an early-stage prototype. These policies describe intended prototype behavior and may be updated before any formal public launch.
We collect your name, institutional email, ORCID ID, institutional affiliation, and information about materials you list or request. We do not sell your data.
Your data is used to facilitate material exchange, build your public researcher profile, and improve the platform. ORCID data is fetched at login with your consent.
Your public profile (name, institution, listed materials, successful shares) is visible to other SciXchange users. Private messages are not shared with third parties.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections, JWT-based authentication, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please practice good password hygiene.
